The Stone-cutters Arts Collective published a Halloween-themed zine on Wednesday, marking their first publication of the year.
Students who worked on the publication attended three workshops to hone in their ideas, which took place from Oct.15 to Oct.19.
Participants were invited to use various art forms to think about and answer the question, ‘What scares you?’ Emma Poveda ’20, who worked alongside Anna Katz ’20 to facilitate the project, said they released the zine as a way to spread Halloween spirit and to show that Stone-cutters is now a collective.
“Being a collective means accepting all mediums of art, and so we felt that by giving a really broad prompt like ‘What scares you?,’ people would have a range of responses,” Poveda said. “And we just held the workshops to facilitate an environment for students to feel free to create whatever they wanted to.”
