Former Headmaster of Westlake School for Girls Nathan O. Reynolds ’51 died peacefully June 24, President Rick Commons said in an email to alumni, faculty and staff.
“During his quarter century of leadership of Westlake, [Reynolds] modernized the school’s curriculum, diversified its student body and strengthened its faculty and culture,” Commons wrote in the email.
Reynolds, who served as Headmaster from 1966 to 1991, left a lasting impact on the school community, Commons wrote in the email.
“He will be forever remembered by generations of Westlake alumni for his deep devotion to them and his abiding commitment to the values of our school,” Commons wrote in the email.
The school will provide information about memorial services when available, Commons said in the email.
