Two top seeds in the NCAA tournament have Wolverine alumni on their rosters. Alex Stepheson â06 plays for the number one seed in the East Rutherford regional bracket, North Carolina.
Bryce Taylor â04 plays for number- three seed in the St. Louis regional bracket, Oregon University.
Taylor played a pivotal role in Oregonâs Pac-10 championship game victory over the University of Southern California last Saturday.
He scored 32 points, going 11-11 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line.
Of his 11 field goals, seven came from behind the three-point arc. No college basketball player has made as many three pointers without missing this year.
Alex Stepheson â06 does not start, though he averages more than two rebounds and points per game.
Stepheson especially may see extra playing time, as North Carolina will face a number 16 seed.Â
