The varsity boysâ lacrosse teamâs playoff chances were ended last Thursday after a 9-6 loss to rival and Mission League leader Loyola.
âBeing knocked out of playoff contention really hurts,â Jamie Gallagher â08 said. âThe seniors this year were a good group of guys and I wish we could have gone further.â
The team started off the year with a 1-4 record. They then won eight of the next nine games, giving them a 9-5 record with three games remaining.Â
âThe guys have been doing a great job,â Head Coach Mark Haddad said. âWe started off slow but were able to get into the swing of things after our fifth game.â
The teamâs 26 seniors still have one more game remaining in their high school career. The teamâs last game is Saturday against Malibu at home.
