Anderson Alden â09 won an award for a composition for two pianos from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). The piece, titled âThe Torrent,â is inspired by the Javanese gamelan tribal music, a kind of musical ensemble of Indonesian origin, Alden said.
