The two-person team of Melissa Saphier ’08 and Danielle Kolin ’08 won the Duke University International Moot Court Competition, held last weekend in Durham. The team of Josh Oreman ’09 and Julia Hahn ’09 made it to the quarterfinals before they were eliminated.
The 50 teams in the two-day competition dealt with a hypothetical case involving habeas corpus for Guantanamo Bay detainees.
The two Harvard-Westlake teams were coached by science teacher David Hinden.
