French teacher Marilyn Shield is taking a leave of absence, Harry Salamandra said in a letter addressed to parents.
Shieldâs French 1 and French 3 Honors classes are covered by members of the Foreign Language Department and Dr. Josephine Gross.
Gross taught French and human development at Harvard-Westlake from 2001 to 2006. She earned her PhD in French at Stanford University.
