The upper school cafeteria is taking on a new approach to becoming ecofriendly by introducing disposable plates, cups and compostable products.
The schoolâs decision to become more eco-friendly was to “work with the community and wanting to move in the direction of being greener,” Head of Upper School Harry Salamandra said.
The compostable products recycle organic waste material into useful products.
According to Salamandra, students and faculty from the Environmental Club have been trying to change the cafeteriaâs unrecyclable products to completely compostable products.
“I commend students wanting to do this at the school,” Salamandra said.
