The 2008-2009 edition of the Chronicle will win either a Gold or a Silver Crown in New York in March, the CSPA announced Dec. 22.
A total of 1,558 high school and middle scvhool newspapers, magazines and yearbooks published during the
2008-2009 academic year were eligible in the 2010 Crown Awards program.
The grand total of all Crowns to be presented in 2010 consists of 37 magazines,
64 newspapers and 56 yearbooks. Crown Award finalists are guaranteed to receive
either a Gold or Silver Crown Award in March 2010. No further judging will take
place.
The 2008-2009 Chronicle’s editors in chief were Andrew Lee and Lucy Jackson. That year’s Chronicle has already won the National Scholastic Press Association’s National Pacemaker, in a ceremony in Washington, D.C., and been awarded the George Gallup Award by Quill and Scroll Society.
