Making its first ever appearance in CIF Finals, boysâ soccer will face J Serra Saturday at Warren High School in Downey. The 8 pm game is preceded by girlsâ soccerâs CIF championship game against Beckman, which starts at 5 pm.
The boysâ team won its first three games of CIF playoffs with only one goal in each game. On Tuesday, they did not need even one to defeat Edison in the semifinals.
The Wolverines outshot Edison 4-3 on penalty kicks after a scoreless 80 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime for both teams.
