Advanced Placement Studio Art and Advanced Drawing and Painting III students showcase their work in Feldman Horn Gallery as a culmination of their three years in the art department. The art has been on display since March 22, and the official opening will be held next month.
Since Thanksgiving, AP students have been developing concentrations, self-directed bodies of work comprised of 12 pieces focused on one visual problem, visual arts teacher Marianne Hall said. Twenty four students of AP, Advanced Drawing and Painting III, and directed studies will display their art at the show.
As their mentor, Hall helps each student develop their own ideas into a unique, cohesive collection, Hall said.
