Artist Laura Parker told three photography classes on May 27 about her career as a professional photographer and described her own style and method of photography.
Parker spoke about her evolution from her black and white street photography to her current more conceptual works. She lectured on her technique while sharing photos from the various stages of her career in order to form timeline of her work.
âI really liked [Parkerâs] early photos because of how unique their composition is,â Advanced Photography I student Graydon Feinstein â12 said.
After listening to Parker speak, the photography students were given the opportunity to have her view and critique their own pieces.
Parker was asked to visit the classes by art teacher Nancy Popp, who described Parker as her own photography mentor.
