Sixteen-year-olds will be able to donate blood at the blood drive benefiting the University of California, Los Angeles Blood and Platelet Center for the first time this year. The drive, which is held annually for upper school students, will take place on Nov. 12 in Chalmers East.
UCLA has lowered the minimum age to donate by one year, to 16, although 16-year-old students will require parental permission to donate.
