The girls’ basketball team came closer to securing first place in CIF Southern Section Division II-A while vying for a tie for first place in the Mission League by beating the Chaminade Eagles 57-41 in Taper Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
Hilary King ‘11 and Natalie Florescu ’13 led the Wolverines on the offensive end with 17 and 12 points, respectively. Leslie Schuman ’12 and Mariana Bagneris ‘11 dominated the boards, nabbing 21 rebounds in total.
The Wolverines snapped a 14-game winning streak by the Eagles. They will take on the Louisville Royals Thursday.
