Members of Leaders United for Change, led by Lyon Chung ’21, mentor underprivileged students to overcome financial and racial inequalities they may face.
Mentors teach various subjects, such as mathematics, writing and science, in addition to assisting with standardized test preparation.
As a branch of a larger organization, the Leaders United for Change club at the school works with other clubs not only in Los Angeles but also internationally.
Yoshimi Kimura ’23 said the club has connected her to others around the world working for the same cause.
“I love that I have the chance to get to know so many wonderful mentors and build personal relationships with students from all across the world,” Kimura said.
