Run by Aiden Schiller ’22 and Hannah Yanover ’22, the HW Movie Club plans to spend its time watching a variety of movies from an assortment of genres.

The two leaders hope to unite cinema lovers throughout the school, watching a new film each week. The club will view movies from different eras and time periods in an effort to understand how the world of cinema has changed over the years.

Schiller said he is excited to watch older movies because he thinks that many club members may find a passion for filmmaking.

“My hope is that the club is able to pass on our love of movies to the members, who will hopefully discover some of their new favorite movies,” Yanover said. “It’s really cool to see how everyone interprets the movie and its characters, especially when we disagree.”
