Math teacher Bill Thill is a finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. He was nominated this summer by a colleague and former winner of the award while at the Park City Mathematics Institute for teachers. Thill was also nominated last year for the Teachers of the Future Award.
“I’ve always enjoyed math and statistics ever since I was in college, but I think one of the most interesting things for me is trying to figure out the kinds of questions that will get students to think deeply and to have good conversations,” Thill said.
