On Senior Night, the last game of the regular season, the varsity field hockey team ran up the score against Louisville, winning by a convincing 11-0.
“We took care of the ball and communicated well,” Kacey Wilson ’13 said. “We were able to pass around them, which made the game really easy.”
In their previous game against Louisville, the Wolverines won 5-0.
The win is their second straight after they beat Chaminade on Oct. 25, 5-0.
They head into the first round of the CIF playoffs on Oct. 31, bosting a league record of 6-2. Their only two losses came against Glendora.
Last year, the team lost in the semi-final round to Newport Harbor in a thrilling defeat, when Newport scored the only goal of the game as time expired in overtime.
