The Collegiate Water Polo Association named Camille Hooks ’11 the Women’s Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week on March 1.
Hooks scored two goals, assisted on five goals, blocked two shots, drew two ejections and had 15 steals for the Princeton University Tigers. Her contributions helped the Tigers go 5-0 at two different tournaments from Feb. 20-26.
“It was really exciting just to have a good start to the season,” Hooks told the Princeton athletic website. “In addition to winning games, it was really fun to be recognized. I was a little surprised but I was really happy about it.”
The Tigers stand undefeated at 13-0 after three different invitational tournaments and are ranked 18th in the country by the CWPA.
At Harvard-Westlake, Hooks helped the girls’ water polo program win its first ever CIF Championship as a co-captain of last year’s team.
