After going undefeated last season, the lacrosse team saw its first loss of the season just three games in, falling 11-3 last night at the hands of St. Margaret’s.
Things started off well for the visitors as Noah Pompan ’14 opened the game with back-to-back goals, but the Tartans roared back and shut down the Wolverines with an 11-1 scoring run.
Earlier this week, the team won a physical match against Westlake at home to open up their week of non-league games.
As tensions rose off the field between opposing parents and fans, so did they on the field as multiple Wolverines were taken out with injuries.
Connor Pasich ’12 suffered a foul in the game that forced him to get stitches on his face in the second quarter.
The Wolverines however managed to pull through this bruiser of a match and defeated Westlake 8-7 with a late goal.
The Wolverines look forward to their league opener on Tuesday at Crespi.
