Thomas Oser ’13, who started at center last year for the Wolverines, received scholarship offers from New Mexico State University and San Diego State University in May after receiving offers from Pacific-12 Conference schools Washington State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder earlier this spring.
New Mexico State plays in the Western Athletic Conference, while San Diego State is part of the Moutain West Conference.
Oser joins quarterback Chad Kanoff ’13 as the only other football player with Div. I A offers. Kanoff received an offer from Vanderbilt University of the Southeastern Conference.
Both are also considering playing for FBS teams in the Ivy League. Ivy League schools do not offer athletic scholarships.
“I think he’s going to be a very highly recruited O-lineman,” Head Coach Scot Ruggles said of Oser. “I think [Kanoff and Oser] are both intrigued by the Ivies.”
