The boys’ water polo team beat Beckman in the CIF Division I Wild Card by a score of 16-3.
The Wolverines jumped out to an early 7-3 lead at halftime, then scored nine unanswered goals to easily put away Beckman in the secons half.
“We played really bad in the first half of the game, and everybody was disappointed,” center guard Warren Snyder ’14 said. “But in the second half we turned it around and we ended up playing pretty good.”
The team, ranked as the 10th best Division I team by a CIF coaches poll, will go on the road to face eighth ranked El Toro tomorrow.
“Going into their home pool and their home crowd, and knocking them out of CIF,” Snyder said. “I just feel like that is going to be such a good feeling.”
