Thank you for this amazing segment, Lily. I’m so glad to have this record of Ted’s voice in this final interview – teaching and inspiring us all up to the very end. Excellent work!

Lily, I’m not one bit surprised that this interview was so smart and touching. I know that Mr. Walch would have loved teaching you–as I do. He said so many things students and teachers will want to learn and remember. You’ve done us all a great service. Thank you, Lily!

Lily, thank you for this caring final interview with Ted. There is so much inspiration in his words. His light will be missed, but, at the same time, his light will shine on through his students, friends and colleagues.

Ted was my closest friend at Kenyon. We shared many good times in college and for many years afterwards. I will miss him terribly. I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.

Lily, what a beautiful job you’ve done. My favorite part of this interview is Ted Walch’s proving one last time what we all heard again and again from his students: he sees students. Even over the phone, only one week before his death, Walch saw you. I know you’ll remember this forever. And I will too. Thank you for sharing this interview with us.
