Following a close 10-8 victory at home against West Ranch High School, the Wolverines traveled to University Irvine High School, a team they have faced in the CIF-SS DI playoffs two years in a row.
Two years ago, the Wolverines lost to University High in the finals of the CIF-SS DI playoffs. Last year, the team defeated the Trojans but ended up losing in the final to Los Alamitos High School.
The team lost the tough match against the Trojans by a score of 14-3.
The next game for the Wolverines is against San Marino High School at Los Angeles Valley College on Mar. 3.
