A group of 20 students and teachers will have the opportunity to hear billionaire business magnate Elon Musk speak Monday, Nov. 18.
The SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO and PayPal co-founder is slated to speak Monday night at a dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel put on by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council as part of its speaker series.
The school partnered with LAWAC and secured two 10-person tables at the event, one each for students and faculty.
Faculty members are able to secure spots to the 7:30 p.m. dinner on a first come, first served basis.
Shortly after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s undergraduate program and its Wharton Business school, Musk started Zip2, a web software company, and PayPal, the internet payment system giant. Profits from the sale of both companies funded his next investment ventures: Tesla and SpaceX, as well as SolarCity, the predominant solar power system provider in the country.
