Deans and directors of admissions representing 41 different colleges led mock admissions meetings for current juniors and their parents at the annual college night Thursday, April 24.
Juniors from Campbell Hall and Oakwood School and their parents also attended.
In preparation, juniors read four applications to a fake college called Jefferson University. They then broke up into small groups headed by a dean or director of admissions and served on an admissions panel to admit one of the four applicants. Parents also performed the exercise in separate groups.
“It’s the best program we offer to give juniors and their parents an inside look into what goes into making those important college decisions,” dean Vanna Cairns said.
