A bake sale Monday will raise money for Baan Nong Ku, an elementary school located in Thailand.
Pim Otero ’16 organized the sale which will be outside Chalmers from second to fifth period. Only cash will be accepted.
The profits will be used to donate school supplies like sports balls, pens, pencils and paper to the school.
“I found out about the school through a monk at the Buddhist temple I go to and we’ve seen the same situations in the past when my family and I visited Thailand,” Otero said. “I decided now was a good time to finally try and help make their situations a little bit better.”
Students will be able to name their own price for baked goods such as scones, cupcakes, cookies, brownies and banana bread. Macaroons will also be on sale for $2 each.
