Female computer science students from both the upper and middle school campuses visited SpaceX on March 16.
Programming and math teacher Jessica Kaufman chaperoned the 20 girls who attended the trip.
The group toured the facility and listened to female engineers talk about their jobs and the goals of the company, which creates rockets and other types of space technology.
Girls Who Code, a nonprofit organization that encourages women to enter into the field of computer science, hosted the trip.
