175 Wolverine alumna and their children engaged in arts and crafts projects, games and a costume contest at the annual Alumni with Young Kids Halloween Party on Oct. 28, the second alumni event of the year hosted by the Harvard Westlake Student Alumni Association (HWSAA).
“The kids are the best part of the event,” HWSAA member Carli Cooperstein ’20 said. “I do this event every year bc I love helping out the cute little kids at the pumpkin decorating table and making them smile.”
Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Katie Lim ’13 said that HWSAA serves not just to manage the network of alumna, but to host events in order to reinforce connections between members.
“The HW Alumni with Young Kids Halloween Costume Party is just another fun way to provide our alumni with not only a great experience but also the opportunity to connect with others,” said Lim.
HWSAA co-chair Kevin Lu ’19 said he enjoyed seeing participants in the Halloween spirit and the connection and spirit of the alumni network.
“It’s great to see alumni who graduated decades ago still cherish their friendships with one another and with the school,” Lu said.
