A college professor visited the science directed studies class to discuss the math and physics behind the iPod and cell phones on Oct. 26. Dr. Rajeev Jain (Gautam â08, Siddarth â03) is a professor of electrical engineering at UCLA. He explained how sound waves are converted into binary code, information useful for digital music storing and phones. Jain is the second of an expected six lecturers.
