Six student films won awards at the annual South Bay Video Festival. Films chosen include âMartian High School Chroniclesâ for best opening sequence, âLife Is a Highwayâ for direction, âHatian Fight Song,â for the visual effects award, âSunny Roadâ for best work in music video and for cinematography, âThe Artist Broken,â for the Jury Prize for Best Work in Fiction and âGun Violence Hungerâ for best public service announcement. The films were shown May 23 at Mira Costa High School.
