A NASA astronaut, who launched into space on board the space shuttle Atlantis last May, told students about his mission to fix the Hubble telescope at an optional middle school assembly May 11.
Astronaut Mike Massimino said the purpose of his visit was to educate students about the space program.
“I learned a lot more about what astronauts do,” said Luke Holthouse â13, who went to the assembly with his biology class. “Not a lot of people have been to space and here he was with his space suit at our school.”
