In an email to upper school students, Prefect Council announced that the campus will be open to students to participate in small group activities starting the week of Nov. 9. Attending these group activities will not be mandatory and students will be allowed back on campus once a week, according to Prefect Council.
According to the email, the LA County Department of Public Health is allowing 25% of the students on campus at once.
Members of Prefect Council, Student Leadership in Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (SLIDE), Peer Support and Community Council will lead weekly meetings that will allow for students to come to campus for two hours, between 6 to 8 p.m.
Kate Hasset ’22 said she looks forward to hosting upcoming events for her classmates.
“I’m so excited that school gets to open these small group events,” Hasset said. “Socializing is one way that I cope with my depression so this is the perfect opportunity to safely socialize. I will be participating and would love to help lead the groups”
Additionally, Prefect Council will host a Catching up with the Council session to provide more information to students are interested on Nov. 5.
