The varsity boys’ basketball team bounced back from a two game losing skid with a 66-56 win over Centennial Compton in the first round of the Palos Verdes Tournament on Wednesday.
The Wolverines were down 31-28 at halftime, but managed to grab the lead and break away in the second half of the game at El Segundo High School.
With the victory, the team is now 3-2 on the season, and will look to go far in the Palos Verdes Tournament after ending the Torrance Tournament with consecutive double-digit losses to Loyola and Fairfax. The squad’s next opponent in the tournament is to be determined.
