The Loyola athletic department announced Saturday that the neutral site for its basketball home game against Harvard-Westlake will be at Occidental College.
The Jan. 16 rivalry matchup will be the second meeting between the rival schools this season after the Cubs took down the Wolverines 80-61 in a tournament held at Torrance High School.
Both schools agreed on moving basketball games between the two to larger venues last year to accommodate larger crowds.
The Wolverines have dropped four straight to the Cubs, the last win coming in the 2010-2011 season. The current Wolverine squad stands at 6-2 overall heading into this week’s Desert Heat Classic Tournament. The Harvard-Westlake athletic department has yet to choose a neutral site for its home game on Feb. 4, but it is considering Occidental and Los Angeles Valley College.
