The members of the varsity baseball team opened their season with a 7-0 win over Cleveland, buoyed by the 3-4 batting of Ezra Steinberg ’15 and the pitching of Jack Flaherty ’14 and Hans Hansen ’13.
Flaherty started and pitched through five innings, while Hansen got the save. The team has its first home game of the season this Tuesday, Feb. 26 against Rio Mesa.
“It’s just one of a 30-game season,” Hansen said. “I know it’s cliche, but you can’t win them all if you don’t win the first one.”
