The boys’ lacrosse team dominated local rival Notre Dame 14-1 on March 18, continuing an undefeated season.
A very strong first quarter allowed the Wolverines to take a 6-0 lead after the first 12 minutes, and the team stretched out in front even further at the half for a 9-1 scoreline. A very strong defensive and midfield performance in the second half held the opposition scoreless during the last 24 minutes of play, only conceding one for the match.
The junior attacking trio of Paul Rodriguez ’18, Tommy Park ’18 and Reid Hudgins ’18 was all over the Knights’ defense, scoring seven goals altogether. Rodriguez was the main contributor, totaling five goals. Park, Hudgins and Mikey Corrin ’18 both scored twice, with Jared Goldman ’18, Zac Harleston ’18 and Julien Roa ’20 each scoring once.
The team will look to continue its winning ways in its next match away against St. Francis on March 21. Last season, the Wolverines beat the Golden Knights 19-8 and 15-3 during the team’s two matchups, and will hope to do the same this season.
