The softball squad defeated Marymount by a score of 12-0 on May 10, the team’s Senior Night. The victory moved the team to 8-0 in league as they won the Sunshine League championship.
Five seniors were celebrated in their final career regular season match. They are Hailey De La Vara ’17, Stephanie DeSoto ’17, Brenda Zaragoza ’17, Marina Weidmann ’17 and Lauren Lapesarde ’17.
De La Vara threw a complete game shutout pitching all five innings, Lapesarde hit a home run, Zaragoza got a hit, Weidmann reached base and De Soto played the infield.
The team will find out its playoff schedule Monday.
