Coming off of two consecutive victories at home, the football team won its first away game of the season against Garfield 27-19.
The Wolverines’s rushing attack accounted for all four of their touchdowns. Quarterback Jameson Wang ’20 ran for three scores, all coming on read-option runs. Playing in just his second game at halfback, Jake Kelly ’20 added another touchdown run, bringing his total to three on the season.
The Wolverines scored early on Wang’s first touchdown and never relinquished the lead. After the Bulldogs scored in the second quarter to bring the game within a single point, the Wolverines answered with Kelly’s long touchdown run.
