Games of the North/South Challenge tournament were cancelled due to fire scares, but Head of Aquatics Brian Flacks organized others games for the boys’ water polo team to play. The team fell 9-7 to Drake and later defeated Bellarmine 9-4, but still stands at 3-0 in league play.
With only a month left in the season, the group stands at just 13-8 overall. Goalkeeper Sam Krutonog ’18 voiced concern about where the team stands with the season more than halfway over.
“We’re nearing the point in the season where it’s win or go home,” Krutonog said. “Since we only have a month left of season, we are working on fine-tuning our game and a lot more new plays for six-on-five situations and our front court offense.”
