The Boys Soccer team defeated Notre Dame 2-1 yesterday, taking revenge on the team that beat them by the same score in early January.
A goal by Pablo Greenlee ’20 late in the first half put the team on the scoreboard going into halftime. Both teams were very evenly matched. From the start, the Wolverines got more chances to score but struggled to capitalize on them.
The Knights were able to bring the game even by the end of the second half. With four minutes remaining, forward Langston Holly ’20 got possession of the ball in midfield and took a shot from far downfield.
“It felt amazing when I scored,” Holly said. “It was a great shot and probably one of the best goals I’ve scored, so it felt great when it went in”.
The team will go on to play at Chaminade on Friday and hopefully seal a second place league title.
