Field Hockey beat Edison 2-0 today, marking their fourth win of the season to improve to 4-0.
Captain and forward Sydney Pizer ’19 praised the team’s success in the game.
“I think we were really focused today,” Pizer said. “Edison is a very talented team and they came out strong. We really rose to the challenge by being strategic, aggressive, and determined.”
This was the team’s third shutout of the season, only allowing three goals on the season in 7-3 win against Huntington Beach on Tuesday.
“Because the team lost twelve seniors, many thought it might be a rebuilding year,” Center midfielder Rachel Brown ’20 said. “Fortunately, our amazing team members, especially the new freshmen have lived up to the great traditions, our seniors left behind.”
The Wolverines are scheduled to play against Newport Harbor on Sept. 12 in a non-league game. The first league game is on Sept. 20 against Thousand Oaks.
