The University Athletic Association conference named former Wolverine pitcher and current Emory player, Connor Dillman ’12, Rookie of the Year for the 2012 season.
As a Wolverine, Dillman was named to the CIF Southern Section All Star team in 2011, a year the team won the Mission League.
Dillman won eight games and threw 76 strikeouts for the Emory Eagles on the mound this year and is the third player from Emory ever to receive the honor. He led Emory pitchers with a 2.35 ERA and pitched a complete game shutout to beat Brandeis University, the first Emory player to do so in nine seasons.
Dillman and the Eagles finished 26-12 on the season and head to the NCAA Division III championship May 13.
