The boys’ soccer team fell to rival Loyola at home, losing 0-5 on Wednesday night. The loss marks the seventh of the season and brings the Wolverines to an overall record of 7-7-2. This is the second loss to Loyola this season, previously losing 0-4 earlier this month.

Defender Alex Schindler ’19 expressed his discontent with the result.

“It was obviously a tough loss,” Schindler said. “We went into the game feeling prepared and we played with intensity, but individual mistakes and overall team organization caused us to give up goals.”

Despite the loss, Schindler remains confident in the team’s ability to succeed going forward.

“We definitely are still in contention for the playoffs, so we have to take 6 points in our next two games,” Schindler said. “I think as long as we come out strong and intense in the next two games and stay organized with high pressure, we will win.”

The boys will try to bounce back against St. Francis on Feb. 7.
