The boys water polo team beat St. Francis High School 23-8 in their sixth game of the season on Monday. The team has improved to 5-1 this year and 4-0 in their league games.

Despite the large win, Daniel Mnatsakanian ’23 still sees room for improvement and growth from him and his teammates.

“Our team’s values derive from consistency and discipline,” Mnatsakanian said. “We take pride in addressing those little details and a lot of our success boils down to the standard Coach Flacks holds us accountable to.”

The team hopes to build off this win and continue to bring the same level of intensity to their future games. They will take on Mira Costa High School in their next game at home on March 18th.

Mnatsakanian said Boys Water Polo Program Head Brian Flacks is one of the main reasons why the team has been able to be successful so far this season.

“[Coach Flacks] has an incredible talent when it comes to maximizing a team’s potential and that’s why we see the results we do,” Mnatsakanian said.
