Girls’ tennis squeaks by Santa Barbara

On day two of  three straight days of matches, the varsity girls’ tennis team pulled out a nail-biter of a victory, upsetting Santa Barbara 9-9 (81-75 games) Wednesday. Santa Barbara is ranked fifth in Division I of the CIF Southern Section according to a pre-season coaches poll, while the Wolverines are ranked seventh.

The Wolverines had a decidedly easier time Tuesday, beating league opponent Chaminade 18-0.

The team, now 7-1, will face league rival Louisville tomorrow at Los Angeles Valley College.
