The field hockey team has jumped over their first playoff hurdle, defeating Huntington Beach Oilers in the quarter-finals.
The team shutout their rival opponent 2-0, upholding goalie Daniela Grande’s ’15 shutout streak at seven games in a row. The two goal win is reminiscent to the Wolverine’s 3-1 victory over Huntington Beach earlier this year, which was an intense match due to the Wolverine’s loss against the Oilers in last year’s LAFHA Championship match.
The Wolverines have advanced to the semi-finals, which will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Harvard-Westlake. Their opponent is currently undecided.
