Girls’ soccer wins opener against El Camino Real 3-0

Two goals from Courtney O’Brien ’15 and one from Courtney Corrin ’16 opened the girls’ varsity soccer team’s season on a high note, lifting the Wolverines past El Camino Real 3-0 Monday night.

The Wolverines maintained control of the game throughout and denied El Camino Real on any scoring attempts. With Monday’s convincing win, the Wolverines begin their quest back toward the CIF Playoff bracket after a bittersweet 2012-2013 season. This year’s iteration of the girls’ soccer team follows a 2012-2013 team which went 20-3-3 and was named one of the best teams in the country, yet failed to see any CIF gold.

The team will next play in its home opener Dec. 12 against Oaks Christian, followed by another home game against Mira Costa Dec. 14.
