In the middle of a strong Mission League showing this season, the girls’ Water Polo team finished in 4th place in the Bonita Tournament this weekend.
The Wolverines opened with a 20-5 win over Ramona Jan. 31. The next day, they narrowly beat Eastvale Eleanor Roosevelt 15-14. All six starters scored in that game, and goalkeeper Daily Hartmeier ’16 recorded a career-high eight saves. Their win streak ended when they lost to Riverside Poly 14-8 in the semifinals. The Wolverines were unable to muster a win to end the tournament, losing to Royal 9-6.
The Wolverines are undefeated in the Mission League. They play Flintridge Sacred Heart tomorrow at 3:30 PM at Flintridge Sacred Heart High School.
