Girls’ track stands tall at Palos Verdes Invitational

Courtney Corrin ’16, already one of the most decorated athletes in Harvard-Westlake history, lengthened her list of accolades with first place finishes in long jump at the Mt. Carmel Invitational on Mar. 30 and the Palos Verdes Invitational on Saturday. Corrin, who was named the Meet MVP at the Palos Verdes Invitational, added a first place finish in the 300-meter hurdles to her win in the long jump on Saturday.

Shea Copeland ’15 and Efe Agege ’14 also had standout performances at Mt. Carmel and Palos Verdes. Copeland broke her own school record in the girls’ 100-meters of 12.38 with a run of 12.13 at Mt. Carmel, while Agege took home first in girls’ triple jump in both meets.

The track team will continue its season with a meet against Chaminade on Thursday.
